RCIA- Adult Faith Formation
About
RCIA is a journey of faith open to all adults-- from those unbaptized who wish to follow Christ (Faith Formation) to lifelong Catholics who wish to deepen their understanding of their faith (Faith Enrichment).
RCIA at St. Francis of Assisi began when the parish began and continues to welcome any unbaptized person seeking to follow Christ or any baptized person from another Christian community and any baptized Catholic wishing to complete the sacraments of initiation: Confirmation and/or First Communion.
Faith Formation class begins each September and continues until Easter.
The RCIA team also welcomes Catholics to attend adult enrichment gatherings that are usually held on Tuesday evenings twice a month to discuss a specific topic of interest like the structure and history of the Mass or the significance of particular sacraments. These meetings often begin with a presentation by a guest followed by a discussion where faith-sharing is encouraged and supported. Presenters and participants include parishioners as well as the friars and the parish staff.
All meetings take place in the St. Francis Center Room 212 Knight Wing Conference Room at 7 PM.
